JA Competition was founded in early 2023 by Jonathan Atkins, former owner of Tick Performance Inc and driver of the Grubbworm Camaro.  Specializing in high performance engines and EFI tuning, we apply our 20+ years of experience to spec a build that will exceed your goals and expectations.

Having good relationships with many others in the industry, when our knowledge may be limited, we aren't afraid to consult with others to ensure we are providing you with the absolute best products and practices. 

All final engine assembly and tuning is done by Jonathan with great pride and attention to detail. While we may not always be able to compete with the price of 'crate engines' from big name companies, we more than make up for in customer support. You can take comfort in knowing that the person taking your call, or answering your messages is the same person that is handling your build or tune!
